Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) opened a new bridge connecting Al Manama and Al Meydan Streets on Saturday, crossing the Dubai Al Ain Road.

The previous roundabout at this intersection has been removed, and the RTA has adjusted the sloping ends of the existing Al Meydan Street bridges.

The bridge is 328 metres long and has four lanes in each direction, with a capacity of 16,000 vehicles per hour. The sloping ends of the bridge span 400 metres.

Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, said that the new bridge linking Al Manama and Al Meydan Streets is part of the Dubai-Al Ain Road Improvement Project currently under construction by RTA.
