A 70-YEAR OLD HUNTER IN FRANCE SHOT AND KILLED A BEAR

Officials say a 70-year-old man shot and killed a brown bear in south-western France after it attacked and injured him while he was out hunting wild boar.

The man allegedly fired two rifle shots at the female bear, who was out with her cubs at the time, killing the animal instantly.

According to local media, the man suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to a hospital in Toulouse.

The Saturday afternoon incident is currently being investigated by police.
