The first occurrences of the Omicron COVID variant have been discovered in Zambia

Kuwait : Zambia's first cases of the Omicron coronavirus variant have been discovered in three patients who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last week, according to the health ministry.
The three cases are a man from the Lusaka district who recently travelled abroad and is experiencing mild symptoms, a man from Chibombo District who also recently travelled abroad but is asymptomatic, and a woman from Lusaka District who had not recently travelled abroad but was experiencing mild symptoms.
