Qatar records its first four Omicron cases

DOHA ;  December 17 – The Qatari Ministry of Public Health announced the discovery of the first four cases of COVID 19 variant Omicron in the country. It stated that the four infected individuals were Qataris and expats who had returned from abroad and were quarantined. The ministry also stated that three of the four infected people had already received two doses of COVID19 vaccine more than six months ago, while the fourth case had not.
