Kuwait bans the import of cows from the UK

Kuwait : The General Administration of Customs issued a decision regarding imposing a temporary ban on the import of live cows from the United Kingdom to Kuwait, due to the emergence of mad cow disease, noting that the decision came at the request of the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources.

The customs instructions also included imposing a ban on the import of all types of live birds and hatching eggs from Kazakhstan, Poland and Hungary, due to the emergence of highly pathogenic avian influenza.
