A FIRE IN A NEW YORK CITY APARTMENT BUILDING KILLS 19, INCLUDING 9 CHILDREN

According to municipal officials, a fire at an apartment building in New York City's Bronx borough on Sunday, January 10, 2022, killed 19 people, including nine children, and injured scores more. New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced 19 persons were killed in a fire that broke out about 11 a.m. in a 19-story apartment building.
