BRAWL AND FIRE AT WEST PAPUA NIGHTCLUB KILL 19 PEOPLE

At least 19 people were killed in a fight and a fire at a nightclub in Indonesia's West Papua state. According to officials, one individual was stabbed to death, but the other victims were trapped by the fire that broke out at the Double O club in Sorong city. The cause of the fire is unknown, although it appears to have started after a battle between two competing parties armed with machetes and arrows. The conflict was not thought to be related to the separatist insurrection that has afflicted other sections of West Papua.
