Kuwait City: The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) announced Wednesday the signing of a contract with a local company to finance a pilot project for the "Kuwait Commute" programme, which aims to promote public transit, reduce traffic congestion, and minimise hazardous emissions. According to a press release, the foundation's support for the initiative project, which consists of designing and building four sustainable bus stops in the Capital Governorate, serves as an encouragement to the national capabilities of distinguished Kuwaiti energies, as well as working to develop cadres with scientific knowledge to deal with various challenges and provide technological solutions for a sustainable Kuwait.
