ON FEBRUVARY 21, AUSTRALIA WILL OPEN ITS BORDERS TO VACCINATED TRAVELLERS

  • 07/02/2022

In a further relaxation of pandemic restrictions announced on February 7, Australia would open its borders to all immunised tourists and business travellers beginning February 21.

In March 2020, Australia implemented some of the world's strictest travel restrictions on its citizens and permanent residents to prevent them from bringing COVID-19 home.

When border restrictions were eased in November in response to a higher vaccination rate among the Australian population, international students and skilled migrants were given preference over tourists in being admitted back to Australia.
