US CAUTIONS THAT RUSSIAN INVASION MIGHT HAPPEN AT ANY TIME

The US has warned that Russia might invade Ukraine "at any time" and that American people should evacuate immediately. The White House stated on Friday that an invasion may begin with aircraft bombing, which would make escape impossible and put civilians in peril. Despite massing more than 100,000 troops near the Ukrainian border, Moscow has denied any plans to attack the country. As a result of the US announcement, countries all around the world have issued new cautions to citizens of Ukraine. 

Non-essential staff have been ordered to leave the US Embassy in Kyiv, the State Department announced in a release. Consular services will be suspended from Sunday, although the US "will maintain a small consular presence" in the western city of Lviv "to handle emergencies".
