Rod Marsh, a former Australia wicketkeeper, is in severe condition after suffering a heart attack. In 96 Test matches for Australia, the 74-year-old was responsible for 355 dismissals. Marsh also played 92 one-day internationals before retiring in 1984, and he was Australia's men's selectors chairman until 2016. "Rod has been a prominent figure in Australian cricket for more than 50 years," the Australian Cricketers Association said. Marsh is said to have become unwell on his way to a charity cricket tournament in Queensland. He is Australia's all-time dismissals leader, trailing only Adam Gilchrist (416) and Ian Healy (395), and his 355 dismissals were a world record at the time of his retirement. Marsh was also a selector for the England men's team and director of the England and Wales Cricket Board's academy from 2001 to 2004.
