Kuwait City: The investigation team has opened the scrolls of the brutal murder in Ardia that shocked the entire country. A Kuwaiti national, his wife and daughter were found dead inside their home last Friday. The victims were identified as Ahmed, 80, his wife Khaleda, 50, and their daughter Asma, 18. An Indian expatriate was arrested in the case. He is the husband of a domestic worker in the same house. The investigation team was able to nab the culprit within 24 hours of the incident coming to light. Colonel Khalaf al-NC, acting director of the Research and Investigation Department in the Farwaniya Governorate, had appointed a special investigation team.

At the first inspection, there were indications of burglary and trespassing inside the house. Authorities also collected footage from security cameras at nearby homes. It was filmed on February 25 at 4 am with a man entering the house. The same person was also seen leaving the house lame at 9 pm on the same day. With this, it became clear to the investigation team that he was the culprit in the murder.

The clothes he was wearing when he went inside the house were not there when he came back. The investigation then began focusing on domestic workers in the home. When one of them was questioned, the man at the scene confessed that he was her husband. He worked for an electricity company in the Sulaybia region. Subsequent search revealed documents of the sale of gold and 300 Kuwaiti dinars from their home. According to the accused, he entered the house using an forged key provided by his wife and had been planning the murder for a week.

The source explained that invoices for the sale of gold jewelery worth 1,600 dinars were recovered from the accused and 300 dinars were recovered from him. He is thought to have survived an earlier attempt to oust him following Mr Jiang's intervention, police said. One week before committing the crime, the defendant planned his crime and on February 25 went home with all the equipment ready and changed clothes after the execution.

According to sources, the accused first confessed to killing the girl who was sleeping in the bedroom and then strangling his mother who was sleeping in the hall of the house. When the husband came out of the bedroom after hearing an unusual movement in the house, he saw the accused and they had a confrontation in the hall of the house, after which the accused stabbed the victim several times and killed him by falling to the ground and strangling him.

In addition to stealing 300 dinars from the victim's pocket, the accused also confessed to stealing gold from the house, staying at the victim's house until 9pm, and washing clothes inside the house. Then he ate and slept for hours, then closed the door and left.

Defendant informed investigators about the knife used to kill the victim, which was found at his residence, and prosecutors recorded the defendant's confession and referred him to the public prosecution. A case has been registered against him for premeditated murder.
