KUWAIT IMPORTS PHONES WORTH KD 227 MILLION IN 9 MONTHS

Kuwait City: In just nine months, Kuwait imported phones worth KD 227 million, including those used on cellular networks (mobile phones) and those used on other wireless networks. According to official data, phones worth KD 90 million were imported from January 1, 2021 to March 31, 2021. Phone imports fell to KD 57.6 million from April to June 2021, but increased to KD 79.2 million from July to September 2021. 


Meanwhile, according to government estimates, the average monthly expenditure of a Kuwaiti citizen or resident on imported meat, fish, and animal products is around KD 9. In particular, Kuwait's imports of live animals and animal products were around KD 378 million in the first nine months of 2021.
