QATARI SECURITY FORCES HAVE ARRESTED FIVE PEOPLE FOR VIOLATING MARITIME BOUNDARIES

Doha :Qatari security officials have arrested five people for violating maritime borders, the Qatari Interior Ministry said. Qatari authorities have arrested a man who went to sea in a fishing boat from Bahrain. The two boats on which they were traveling were seized.


Two Bahraini nationals and four expatriates were arrested. They were handed over to the relevant authorities in Qatar for further action. The Qatari Interior Ministry said the Coast Guard Command was taking legal action against those arrested.

Meanwhile, the Bahraini Interior Ministry condemned the arrest of two Bahraini nationals and four expatriates for allegedly violating maritime borders. The Bahraini authorities said in a statement that they were pursuing legal action to protect the rights of Bahraini fishermen and sailors.
