Kuwait City: Dr. Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States, was a guest of honour at the Kuwait-America Foundation gala dinner on May 4th, which was held at the Kuwait Embassy in the nation's capital in support of the UNHCR's important work around the world. This year's Gala Dinner was hosted by Kuwaiti Ambassador to the United States Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah and his wife Sheikha Rima Al-Sabah. The ceremony honoured CIA Director William Burns, the Public Service Award Recipient, and Hollywood actor Ben Stiller, the Private Citizen Award Recipient, for their steadfast dedication and relentless work on behalf of refugees and displaced people around the world.
