DOMESTIC LABOR SHORTAGE; THE KUWAIT MINISTRY OF COMMERCE WISHES TO RECRUIT ADDITIONAL DOMESTIC EMPLOYEES FROM LABOR FORCE

Kuwait City: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Mohammed Mikhalif Al-Enisi spoke with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Manpower Authority regarding the recruitment of domestic workers. Al-Enisi requested that domestic workers be brought in from more places without relying on a single labor market to ensure stability in the amount to be utilized. 


Practices that violate the law and infringe on the rights of consumers must be controlled and prevented. He also said that the difficulties faced by companies and citizens should be addressed. He added that the demand was being raised in view of the lack of availability of domestic workers in the country, the high cost of recruitment and the hardships faced by consumers as a result of certain illegal activities and monopolies.
