KUWAIT'S CENTRAL BANK FORECASTS 648 MILLION INTERNET PURCHASES IN 2021

Kuwait City: Last year, individual financial payments are likely to increase dramatically. The enormous increase in the value and number of financial payments is increasing the relevance of growth. In 2021, around 648 million purchases were made, according to figures from Kuwait's Central Bank. Its value surpassed 34.28 billion dinars, representing a volume increase of almost 49% and a value increase of about 34%. 


All payment transactions done through point-of-sale machines, automated teller machines, or electronic payment gateways contributed to this area's growth. Experts say that transactions via point-of-sale devices, automated teller machines, and electronic payment gateways surged last year. This was also aided by the Covid plague.
