Kuwait City: The Ministry of Commerce has closed shops selling oils that could damage cars. Measures were taken to sell oils that did not conform to the exact specifications. Ministry sources said they had received several complaints from consumers that the vehicles had suffered technical problems after changing the oil from some shops.

With this, samples of oils were collected and tested in the laboratories of the Industrial Authority. The Ministry took prompt action after finding that the inspection did not meet the exact specifications. Authorities said the campaign to catch those involved in commercial fraud and forgery would continue and those violating the law would be referred to commercial prosecution.
