HOSPITALS IN KUWAIT SUFFER FROM LACK OF NIGHT SHIFT EMPLOYEES

Kuwait City:  Public hospitals in the country are facing a shortage of staff on night shifts. The Ministry of Health has decided to regulate the administrative staff who operate on a "wage-for-work" basis in the watch and shift system. The report says that this has affected the delivery of health services and made it difficult for patients and visitors. Employees are referred to work in the morning and afternoon, subject to the "pay for work" condition.

So this week there was a decrease in the number of administrative staff working from 7:30 pm to 7:30 am. This decision caused great confusion in the services provided to patients and auditors at night. In addition, the low number of workers on the evening shift caused problems in performing the service within the hospitals properly, which also affected the work. Sources said most of the hospital administrations had complained about the implementation of the decision due to lack of staff on the evening shift.
