KUWAIT BANS EXPORTS OF FROZEN CHICKEN AND VEGETABLE OIL

Kuwait City: Kuwait bans exports of various food items. Exports of frozen chicken, vegetable oil and local and imported sheep and goats are banned. Suleiman al-Fahad, director general of the General Administration of Customs, issued the order. He said the decision was taken in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce.


In a circular issued by Bilal al-Khamis, the customs controller at the Nuweizeeb border port, he instructed employees to ensure that items that are banned for export do not cross the border. He added that the decision issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on the condition that the said products should not be exported without the written permission of the Ministry is being implemented by the General Administration of Customs.
