PLASTIC BAGS IN DUBAI WILL BE PAID FROM JULY

Dubai: The decision to impose 25 fils on carry bags in shops will be implemented from July 1. Envelopes, including plastic, must be paid for. Companies are considering avoiding giving away plastic bags for online goods.


The decision is to give the paper in the cover or to remove the cover and give only the goods. The goal is to completely eliminate single-use plastic covers. It is estimated that the use of carry bags will decrease in case you need to go to supermarkets with covers or pay for the covers.

The bag control order applies to all stores, including restaurants, clothing stores, and home appliance establishments. Reusable bags are available in stores for 50 fils, cotton bags for 2.50 dirhams and thicker large bags for 11.50 dirhams.
