FAKE SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES AND WEBSITES WERE WARNED ABOUT BY MINISTRY OF KUWAIT AFFAIRS

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Affairs issued a warning about fake social media accounts and websites. It has been noticed that false advertisements are being given claiming to provide financial assistance and requesting to send phone number and some personal information for fraud and electronic hacking. 


The ministry confirmed that it had not officially placed such advertisements or requested such information, noting that the ministry had taken legal action against some accounts in the past. Officials also informed that the ministry will take legal action against the accounts that published such advertisements recently.
