14,657 NEW CARS SOLD IN KUWAIT IN FIVE MONTHS

Kuwait City: Despite continued production problems at global factories and a slowdown in supply chains worldwide, Kuwait maintained its position among the region's biggest car markets as it witnessed sales of 14,657 new vehicles in the first five months of the year. 


Sales of saloon cars were 376, small vehicles 962, small multi-use vehicles around 457 vehicles and mid-size modern multi-vehicles 1684 during January to May period. 403 large SUVs, 1,261 large jeeps and 2,181 large vehicles were registered here.

Car sales in the first ten months of 2021 recorded around 71,106 new car sales, compared to 52,828 vehicles sold during the same period in 2020. The statistics reflect the high and continuous demand for all types of vehicles in the local market and for all agencies in Kuwait.
