Kuwait has launched its 18th relief flight as part of the second "Kuwait by Your Side" humanitarian airlift, carrying 10 tons of food aid destined for the Gaza Strip. The flight departed for El Arish Airport in Egypt, from where the supplies will be transported into Gaza. This effort is a coordinated initiative involving the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), charitable organizations, and various government bodies.
The Chairman of the KRCS, Khaled Al-Mughamis, stated that this ongoing airlift demonstrates Kuwait's deep-rooted values of brotherhood and solidarity, reflecting a national consensus to support the Palestinian people. He emphasized that the aid is part of continuous efforts to alleviate the severe humanitarian suffering in Gaza and expressed gratitude to all parties involved in the mission's success.
To date, this second Kuwaiti airlift has delivered a total of 360 tons of basic, long-lasting food supplies to Gaza. The KRCS is working in close coordination with the Kuwaiti Embassy in Egypt and the Egyptian Red Crescent to ensure all aid reaches its intended recipients. The supplies are sourced from within Kuwait, produced in coordination with the Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company.
