Kuwait's Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with a group of ministers, has personally inspected the major new Kuwait Cancer Control Center project in the Sabah Health District. The Health Minister, Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, stated that the center represents a "qualitative leap" in cancer care for the region and is a cornerstone of the ministry's strategy to develop specialized medical services to the highest international standards. The visit underscores the project's national importance as a key part of Kuwait's health infrastructure modernization.

The facility is designed as a fully integrated medical complex, featuring two medical towers and extensive support buildings. With a capacity of 618 beds and parking for nearly 2,000 vehicles, it will offer comprehensive services including specialized oncology surgery, radiotherapy, and intensive care. The center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, such as linear accelerators and advanced imaging simulators, to provide a complete range of cancer treatment and research capabilities.

This project is a central component of Kuwait's broader vision to modernize its healthcare system and expand hospital capacity in line with its National Development Plan and "New Kuwait 2035" vision. Officials emphasized that the center will enable advanced cancer treatment within the country, eliminating the need for many patients to seek care abroad. The government expressed pride in the national workforce contributing to this vital project, highlighting its role in improving healthcare quality for all citizens and residents.
