NATO LOOKS INTO HACKER SALE OF MISSILE FIRM DATA

  • 26/08/2022

NATO is evaluating the effects of a hacker group selling sensitive military documents that were compromised online.

The information contains blueprints for the weapons NATO allies are employing in the conflict in Ukraine.

After stealing information related to a significant European weapon manufacturer, criminal hackers are now selling the dossiers.

Although MBDA Missile Systems acknowledged that its data was in the cache, the company insisted that none of the secret documents are its property.

The pan-European company, with its headquarters in France, claimed that a compromised external hard drive was the source of the data breach and that it was working with Italian authorities to resolve the issue.

It is understood investigations are centred around one of MBDA's suppliers
