FERRY COMPANIES APOLOGISE FOR LENGTHY WAITS IN CALAIS

  • 04/09/2022

Travelers waiting in line at the Port of Calais experienced delays of up to six hours.

The lengthy lines at the UK border controls on Saturday have been apologised for by the ferry companies DFDS and P&O Ferries.

As lines dragged on into the evening, P&O added additional vessels that were used for passengers who missed their sailing.

P&O Ferries tweeted that queues were currently around an hour.

P&O Ferries put on additional vessels on Saturday evening to "help with the passengers that have been stuck at border control".
