KUWAITI PHARMACISTS CAN WORK IN TWO ENTITIES IN SAME INDUSTRY - NUMBER OF CONDITIONS SET

Kuwait City: Dr. Khaled Al- Saeed, Minister of Health, issued a decision allowing Kuwaiti pharmacists with a licence to practise pharmacy in the private sector to practise in only one other entity in the same sector, subject to a number of conditions.


The following are the conditions: 

1.The pharmacist who is licenced to practise must be a Kuwaiti.
2. He must submit to the Medicine Inspection Department an approved letter from the entity where he works agreeing to him working for another entity in the same sector, as          well as the working days and hours in the entity where he wants to work.
3. To obtain a work permit for pharmacists, the applicant must submit a letter of approval, and the permit form must include the working days and hours.
4. In the event of any of the aforementioned violations, the permit will be revoked, and he will be unable to apply for another permit until six months after the previous permit          was revoked. 
5. The permit is valid for two years and can be renewed with a written request from the permit holder and the entity for which he works.
6. If the permit expires without being renewed, it is deemed null and void.
