MOH WILL IMPORT CANCER MEDICATIONS DIRECTLY FROM MANUFACTURERS

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Health has received regulatory approval to directly import medicines for various types of cancer from manufacturers. According to sources, these medicines will be distributed to the Hussein Makki Al-Juma Center for Specialized Surgery and other centres affiliated with the Kuwait Cancer Control Center, with a contract value of KD 7.6 million.  According to sources, the ministry is interested in regulating the distribution of medicines to patients, particularly those suffering from cancer and chronic diseases. According to sources, the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) also approved the purchase of medical supplies for using nucleic acid technology to detect AIDS and hepatitis viruses, as the Central Blood Bank laboratory requires such supplies. According to sources, the cost of these supplies is estimated to be KD 1.9 million. According to sources, these supplies are required to ensure the safety of blood donations.
