KUWAIT PUBLIC TRANSPORT CELEBRATES 60 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE

Kuwait City: KPTC celebrates 60 years of public service. The company's buses have been plying the roads of Kuwait since 1962 providing transportation for citizens and residents to reach their destinations. KPTC's affordable fares and well-connected bus lines make the company an excellent public transport system. KPTC was started in 1962 as a joint venture between entrepreneurs and the public sector. 


The company was formed to keep up with the rapidly evolving infrastructure and travel demand. The original operation of the company started in 1965 with 280 buses. It has since grown steadily and now stands at 1,000 buses. KPTC is moving ahead with the times by equipping its current buses with modern air conditioning, sun protection technologies, interior and exterior cameras, special seats for women and accessible seats for people with special needs.
