Kuwait City: The Embassy of India in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Indian Community Support Group (ICSG), organised the 'Namaste Kuwait' event — a cultural extravaganza to commemorate India's 75th anniversary of independence — 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' on Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the embassy premises. The mega cultural event, which featured 75 artists performing 75 different art forms for 750 minutes, was inaugurated by India's Minister of State for External Affairs, HE V. Muraleedharan.

The minister extended warm greetings to all Indians in Kuwait and congratulated all Indian artists in Kuwait who worked tirelessly for several weeks to make 'Namaste Kuwait' a reality. He spoke of the successful 'Vande Bharat Mission' undertaken by the Government of India, which assisted hundreds of thousands of Indians in returning to India during the pandemic; and the close bilateral partnership during the COVID-19 crisis, during which India and Kuwait provided extensive support to each other.

HE Shri Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, thanked Muraleedharan for launching the 'Namaste Kuwait' event, which is a celebration of the vibrant and dynamic partnership between the two friendly countries, India and Kuwait, which is built on strong foundations and nurtured by vibrant people-to-people connections and civilizational affinities over centuries based on mutual trust and respect.
