MASKS ARE NO LONGER MANDATORY FOR TRAVELERS PASSING THROUGH ABU DHABI AIRPORT

Abu Dhabi: Officials have clarified that masks are no longer mandatory for passengers passing through Abu Dhabi Airport. Passengers must maintain social distancing inside the airport. Officials have also informed that the disinfection activities as a preventive measure against Covid will continue. 


Airline companies have the final say on the rules regarding wearing masks on board.  Some home-based airlines have already announced that masks are not mandatory for passengers on board. Airline officials have informed that masks are mandatory for passengers traveling to India, Indonesia, China, Japan, Maldives, Philippines, South Korea and Canada via Etihad Airways.

According to the recently announced relaxations in the UAE's Covid prevention regulations, it is currently not mandatory to wear a mask in public places in the country. Emirate authorities have announced that there is no need to wear masks in cultural venues, tourist centers, hotels and entertainment areas in Abu Dhabi.
