WHATSAPP IS BACK ONLINE AFTER A GLOBAL OUTAGE

WhatsApp has reopened after an outage that affected users all over the world. The company that owns WhatsApp, Meta, stated that the issue had been resolved but did not provide an explanation for the outage.

People attempting to send and receive messages on WhatsApp, which has approximately two billion users worldwide, began reporting issues shortly before 08:00 BST. According to the service status website Down Detector, over 12,000 reports were posted within half an hour.

However, by 10:00 BST, service appeared to be restored for many users. Meta stated in a statement that the issue had been resolved.
