Kuwait expatriates sent home 4.27 billion K.D in nine months

Kuwait City, Jan 3: According to figures from the Central Bank of Kuwait, the amount of remittances sent by expatriates in Kuwait during the first nine months of 2022 was KD 4.27 billion. About KD 1.49 billion, KD 1.51 billion, and KD 1.28 billion were spent in each of the first, second, and third quarters, respectively.

When compared to transfers amounting to KD 4.12 billion made during the same time in 2021, expatriates' transfers grew by 3.6 percent in the first nine months of 2022. In terms of how the local economy and the global economy overlapped over the financial era, the balance of payments is regarded as a sign of how well the Kuwaiti economy performed.
