1500 drug cases go to court each year

Kuwait City, Jan 9: The drug-related crimes are on the rise inside the country, and their cases are among the highest court cases on a daily basis.The Public Prosecution has referred about 2,000 cases to the courts during 2022.
According to the statistics mentioned by a source, the crimes of trafficking and abuse amounted to about 15,000 cases in 10 years, “at an average of 1,500 cases annually, and the statistics showed the death of about 800 citizens and residents due to abuse and overdose.
