Kuwait City, Jan 11: A Hajj agreement that allocates about 8,000 Kuwaiti pilgrims was signed on Monday by the ministers of justice, awqaf, and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait and the minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia. Minister Abdulaziz Al-Majid of Kuwait, who is also the State Minister for Integrity Promotion, and Minister Tawfeeq Al-Rabiah of Saudi Arabia signed the agreement for the Hijri calendar year 1444.

The agreement was made while Minister Al-Majed was attending the 2023 Hajj and Umrah Services conference and exhibition at the Saudi government's invitation. The minister received a briefing on the services offered to pilgrims in various industries, including transportation and catering, during the event. After restrictions caused the yearly Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia to decline last year, it will return to pre-pandemic levels this year.
