EU cooperates with Kuwait to develop a program to combat the financing of terrorism

Kuwait City, Jan 17: The Chargé d’affaires of the European Union Mission, Gediminas Varanavicius, revealed a program to combat financing of terrorism and money laundering, which best suits Kuwait’s needs.

In collaboration and partnership with the Ministry of Information, the European Union Embassy held a specialized workshop that focused on tactics to counter extremist discourse in traditional media and social media, in the presence of the head of the Anti-Extremism Team, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Cooperation, Ambassador Hamad Al-Mashaan and the Assistant Undersecretary for the Media Affairs Sector.
