Philippines and Kuwait are set to have bilateral talks

Kuwait City, Feb 8: The Department of Filipino Migrant Workers said that Kuwaiti authorities have informed through diplomatic channels of their willingness to engage in bilateral labor talks.
The ministry added "We are preparing in advance for these talks, and working to remove the violations and abuses against workers that have accumulated over the years, hence the need for major changes."

The ministry said it had temporarily suspended the posting of first-time job applicants in Kuwait amid ongoing discussions to ensure the safety of OFWs, following the brutal murder of domestic worker Jollibee Ranara last month.
