Interior Ministry announced soft-launch of Kuwait visa app

Kuwait City, Feb 20: The Kuwait Visa app, which will eventually be the only way to check an expat's visa status before entering the country, had its soft launch on Thursday, according to the interior ministry. Until the app is formally launched at a later date, the current entry procedures will apply. After that point, a resident or visitor will not be permitted to enter Kuwait without verification through the app.

The soft launch enables "an electronic, swift, and accurate way" to check the validity of a visa for airlines, expats, and staff at Kuwait embassies abroad. It was stated that the program will be crucial in preventing those with criminal records or individuals who have infectious diseases.
