Kuwaiti volunteer teams prepared 55 camps in Syria

Kuwait City, Feb 20: As part of the efforts of the Kuwaiti charity for the relief and assistance of the victims of the earthquake, which struck both Turkey and Syria recently, a group of Kuwaiti volunteer teams arrived in southern Turkey to complete the distribution of aid to the affected areas.

The head of the Peace Charity Association, Dr. Nabil Al-Awn, said that the Kuwaitis provided 3,500 tents, 100,000 jackets, and other clothes, which were sent on a relief plane two days ago, in addition to a shipment carrying 12,000 sleeping bags, 18,000 blankets, in addition to various foodstuffs. He stated that work is underway to complete the construction of 55 camps in the affected areas as a first stage, while the goal is to reach 100 fully equipped camps.
