Crimes against the environment are on rise

Kuwait City, Feb 20: Statistics issued by the Environment Police Department revealed a tangible escalation in crimes of encroachment on the environment as about 5 cases are registered monthly and 7 expatriates are deported due to environmental crimes.

The statistics, during the period from January 1, 2022 to mid-February, showed the deportation of 90 expatriates in cases of environmental violations which were classified as grave and the registration of 62 “misdemeanours”in cases of storming natural reserves or grazing.
