Public Prosecution statistics shows significant rise in crimes

Kuwait City, Feb 23: The official Public Prosecution statistics for the year 2022 sounded alarm bells regarding the significant increase in 7 types of crimes in the country, most notably medical profession crimes, domestic violence crimes, failure to implement sentences, juveniles, drugs, family violence, journalism, media and information technology.

According to statistics, the Public Prosecution Office announced that it had investigated about 40,000 cases over the past year. 33% of cases were dismissed, while 60% were referred to criminal trials.
