Nearly 1500 cases of crimes against women reported in 2022

Kuwait City, March 8: Nearly 1500 incidents of violence against women were reported in the country last year. Compared to the previous years, the cases of murdering women have also increased in the last two years. Security sources have confirmed that this indicates a high rate of violence against women in the country.

The Experts in the field put forward six main demands to deal the issues. The first demand is to speed up the issuance of executive regulations of the domestic violence law. The demands include increasing the number of shelters for women, introducing laws against cyber crimes, strengthening the role of judicial police in rape cases, and training women workers to handle cases of abuse.
