Kuwaiti Al-Zour refinery is the eighth-largest oil refinery in the world

Kuwait City: With a refining capacity of 615,000 barrels of oil, the Kuwaiti Al-Zour refinery is the eighth-largest oil refinery in the world according to Global Data. The refinery is integrated and run by the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company, which is in turn owned by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. 

According to the list, there are 825 active oil refineries worldwide with a combined refining capacity of 107 million barrels per day in 2023. By 2027, this capacity is predicted to rise by 15% to 123 million barrels per day. According to the company, it uses the information and evaluation contained in oil refineries' ownership records to present a detailed picture of the oil refining industry at international level.
