Kuwait joins the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a dialogue partner

Kuwait signed a memorandum of understanding to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a dialogue partner, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Panaji, Goa, western India.

Kuwait's ambassador to India, Jassem Al-Najem, said ,after signing the memorandum, that the State of Kuwait's accession to the organization as a dialogue partner is a first step to joining it as a full member during the coming period, in line with the objectives of Kuwait's main foreign policy.
