217 thousand civil cards ready for delivery

Residents and citizens were urged by the Public Authority for Civil Information to quickly obtain their civil cards through self-service machines. 217,000 civil cards are stacked in 96 devices and ready for delivery, according to an authority source, but "their owners did not go to receive them."

He explained that the authority is considering fining people who are late in obtaining their ready-made civil cards, or they will be cancelled after a certain amount of time has passed, “indicating that these actions will contribute to the execution of a mechanism to expedite the pace of issuing civil cards and linking them to the renewal of residence.”
