Electricity load index exceeds 15,000 megawatts

With the rise in temperatures, the electrical load index jumped yesterday, and crossed the 15,000 MW barrier for the first time since the start of this summer, and it is expected that the peak loads will approach 17,000 MW. In conjunction with the high load index, the Ministry announced power outages in parts of the Sabah Al-Salem and Doha areas.

The ministry indicated that emergency teams are working to restore the electric current as soon as possible.
