MoI to conduct a “drug-free examination” on adult expats

The Ministry of the Interior, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, put the final touches on a vision that requires conducting a “drug-free examination” on adult expatriates.The concept, which was drafted by a team that included security experts and officials in the health sector, includes the establishment of health centers specialized in conducting a “drug-free examination”, in coordination with the Criminal Evidence Department.

The examination will be added to the “regular medical examinations” that are conducted for arrivals, and for some categories of residents upon renewal of residence permits.
