63,000 new workers joined the labor market in 3 months

A statistical report issued by the Central Department of Statistics in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower revealed that the total number of workers in the country increased by 63,000 workers, bringing their total number to 2.853 million workers during the first three months of this year, compared to the numbers recorded at the end of last year.

The report pointed to the continued progress of the Indian community in private sector and domestic sector, while Kuwaitis occupy the largest number in the government sector, with a total of 468,328 workers. The total number of Indians in the labor market is 857,671 Indians, while the Egyptians came second with 486,656 workers. The number of Kuwaiti workers in the local market ranked third, with a total of 444,822 workers.
