Taliban bans girls aged ten or above from attending school in Afghanistan

Taliban in Afghanistan have reportedly prohibited girls aged ten or above from attending primary school in certain provinces, bringing the latest set of restrictions on women’s education. Taliban-controlled Ministry of Education officials told principals of primary and short-term education courses in Ghazni Province that any girl aged ten or more is prohibited from attending primary schools, BBC Persian reported.
